I think we’re more or less on the same page — although I have problems with “positivity.”
I would say something close to “we should *pretend* there will be a tomorrow (never mind a “better” one),” whether we really believe that or not.
Otherwise . . . the nihilism just eats us.
What’s the cliche? “The optimist believes we live in the best of all possible worlds — and the pessimist is afraid she’s right.”
